Summary:
In a flashback, Law is surprised by Luffy’s plan to destroy all four emperors and warns him that he greatly underestimates them, as they were all strong enough to challenge Whitebeard for territory before their deaths. Law goes on to say that Kaidou is said to be the strongest creature in the world and even with their alliance, Kaidou’s chance of success is still only around 30%. Nami says the odds are too low and they shouldn’t agree to the alliance. Despite her protest, Luffy agrees to the alliance.
Back in the present, Law tells Smoker that he plans to go to the Green Bit with the Straw Hat Pirates, noting that he has his hands full with them. The kids are about to leave the island on a tanker with G-5 marines. The Marines then draw a line and tell the Straw Hat Pirates not to cross the line because they are pirates and therefore a burden to humanity. The marines continue to berate the pirates, but the pirates mostly ignore it, and Nami tells Chopper that Vegapunk will help cure the side effects of the intoxicating candies. While the marines constantly berate the pirates, the children want to thank the pirates for their help, but are unable to do so as the marines try to prevent the children from doing so. The kids are upset because they were the ones who asked the pirates to save them, but they can’t thank them, let alone say goodbye. Tashigi stops the marines, saying that it is shameful for them to defend the children. The marines explain that they denigrate pirates so they won’t admire and respect them even though they are pirates. She then breaks down in tears as Tashigi laughs and Smoker moans. The children thank the pirates for saving them and say that they will be pirates when they grow up, to which the marines protest.
Afterwards, Doflamingo is seen crossing the New World when he notices a raft. On the raft are the severed heads of Baby 5 and Buffalo, as well as Den Den Mushi. Child 5 and Buffalo apologize for their failure to take on Caesar the Clown, but Doflamingo tells them it’s okay as they were only following orders. Den Den Mushi then speaks and reveals that he is from Law. Law tells Doflamingo that he has Caesar and wants to discuss business. Doflamingo laughs and tells him that he doesn’t do business with children and warns Law not to mess with him. Law ignores this and says that Kaidou is Doflamingo’s main business partner. If Kaidou finds out that Doflamingo can’t produce any more smiles, then he will have to suffer the consequences that will scare him. Growing frustrated, Doflamingo asks what Law wants in exchange for Caesar, to which Law responds by ordering him to step down from the Shichibukai, a status he has struggled to maintain for over a decade. As Law pointed out, this resignation would also leave him open to the wrath of the admirals. If news of Doflamingo’s resignation appears in the newspaper the next day, Law contacts him again, but if the newspaper shows no news of the resignation, then the deal is void and Doflamingo will have to deal with Kaida. He then hangs up, leaving Doflamingo enraged.
