One Piece Episode 599

Summary:

Law takes a beating from Vergo. Yarisugi tells the parents of the missing children that they are dead. Caesar takes the children to Usopp and Nami. Slime goes after Zoro’s group. Vergo is revealed to be working for the Joker and that the Joker is Doflamingo.

It starts with Vergo still punishing Law. Law reveals that Vergo is the base commander of the G-5 naval base. It then cuts to an unknown island inhabited by G-5 Marines. They are extremely rude and take what they want. Afterwards, the citizens ask if they could search for their missing children, revealing that the children in Caesar Clown’s lab were actually kidnapped from this island. The Marines refused to help, saying that Vergo had already seen the missing messages and said they were all dead.

It then cuts to Nami and Usopp still dealing with the kids going through severe withdrawal symptoms from not getting any drug candy. Caesar Clown suddenly appears and convinces the children to return to the lab by bribing them with candy.

The scene then cuts to Zoro’s group still dealing with Smiley. Smiley is enraged that Kin’emon destroyed so much slime and decides to send huge slime attacks at them and chase them back to the lab.

The scene then cuts to Luffy, Law, Robin, Franky, Tashigi and Smoker in a prison cell and they are introduced to both Verg and Monet. Meanwhile, Caesar Clown’s soldiers seal off all entrances to the lab, leaving the G-5 Marines stranded outside to deal with Smiley.

Vergo and Monet talk about what Caesar is up to, but both are still not entirely sure what he is up to. Smoker then calls Vergo and says that his subordinates will die if he doesn’t do something. But Verg didn’t care what happened to them. Smoker then puts this together with Tahigi’s theory and realizes that Vergo is responsible for covering up the missing children in the New World. Law then states that Vergo was never truly loyal to the Marines as he was originally a pirate all along working for the notorious underworld broker “The Joker”. Vergo then threatens both Tashigi and Smoker that they will both die and his secret will be kept. Luffy then asks Law “who is the Joker” and Law replies that he used to work for him too and that everyone knows he’s a notorious pirate who works for the World Government. None other than one of the Shichibukai Donquijote Doflamingo.
