Summary:
Luffy is thrown into a cell where he is left to die of poisoning. He desperately tries to escape, but he is too weak and can barely stand. Bentham is also revealed to have stolen Hannyabal’s form and is looking for Luffy.
When Luffy is defeated, Magellan orders the guards to throw Luffy into the central tower on level 5. He also learns that someone is causing a disturbance in the stairwell that Hannyabal is guarding. At level 5, some prisoners suffer from frostbite. Some want to warm themselves in the Burning Hell. The prisoners notice Luffy being driven across the yard on a wagon and see how effective the poison is.
Magellan notices the downed guards and chokes Hannyabal demanding an explanation. The deputy warden explains that he was taken by surprise. He also says that some ballet and martial artists have worked their way through him. The guard says that the ballerina was once Mr. 2 for baroque works. With the 2nd level riot under control, Magellan orders the 4th level guards to the 3rd level and wants Sadi-chan’s demons to search for the escaped prisoner. The administrator then goes to his “private place”. Hannyabal orders his guards to their feet and plans to interrogate Buggy and Galdin. In the interrogation room, Buggy and his friend believe they won’t be tortured. Hannyabal says they need to save Luffy and reveals himself as Bentham in disguise.
Buggy warns that Luffy will be dead by then and locked in level 5. Bentham states that he would have died as a dog but in a heroic sacrifice for Luffy. Buggy believes that Bentham is crazy to attempt a rescue, but he replies that Luffy is his friend. They hope to get an antidote to the poison.
Surprised that there is no way to make an antidote to Magellan’s poison, Hannyabal berates the medical team, hoping that they will want the pirate turned over to the Marines. If the medicine is administered incorrectly, Luffy will also die. Bentham almost despairs and Buggy tells him to throw in the towel. When Galdino says it would take a miracle, Bentham hears that a “miracle worker” is being held at Impel Down, and his name is Iva.
At level 5, “Hannyabal” informs the guards that he wants to transfer the captured prisoners. The former Mr. 3 fears that the obsession will be the end of Mr. 2. Bentham examines a list of prisoners who fear that Ivankov may be executed or released. At that moment, the guard knows what really happened to the miracle worker.
The warden reports that some of the prisoners have disappeared, believing that they have been “demon-possessed” and dragged to the gates of hell. At the gates to level 5, the guard wants to take the weapons and the coat, so that the prisoners freeze in the freezing hell and the army wolves swarm around. With that, Bentham’s party begins to freeze in a freezing hell.
Galdino uses the keys to free Buggy from his bonds, and the group notices the army wolves, who are very hungry. “Hannyabal” dares Buggy and Galdin to try to defend themselves and begins to fight the wolves as well, not wishing to die as an animal. Bentham puts away his disguise and begins to fight the wolves.
Buggy and his partner try to defend themselves against the cold by running. Remembering how they formed their partnership, the two rub each other, but it’s ineffective. They find more wolves and Buggy tries to fly away.
Luffy starts writhing in his cell from the massive poison he absorbed. He informs the prisoners that he wanted to save Ace. After being told it’s every man for himself, Luffy suddenly sees Bentham walking into his cell with the keys.
