One Piece Episode 67

Summary:

After defeating Mr. 5 and Miss Valentine, Luffy and Zoro turned back to each other, ready to continue their own battle. Vivi and Karoo look on helplessly, still shocked that they defeated a pair of baroque officer agents so easily. But before they can land the first blows on each other, Nami knocks them both silly. As Luffy finally understands why Zoro fought the people of Whiskey Peak, Nami urges Vivi to make a deal with Beli1 billion to return her to the Arabasta Kingdom. Vivi says it’s unlikely she’ll be able to pay due to civil strife flaring up in her home kingdom. A few years ago, she learned that Baroque Works was manipulating the population of Arabasta in order to usurp her father, the king. She asked Igaram, one of her closest allies, to help her infiltrate the organization and find out who was pulling the strings.

She is reluctant to reveal who the leader is as it would expose her and put her on his hit list. However, in his growing nervousness, he inadvertently reveals who the leader is: Mr. 0 is Crocodile, one of the Seven Warriors of the Sea.

As he says his name, the unfortunates, Mr. 13 and Miss Friday, stand silently and sit above them on the brick wall. After Mr. 13 creates composite sketches of Luffy, Zoro, and Nami, the Unlucky Ones fly away. Nami is enraged by this turn of events, but shakes off her anger that she got them into this. Vivi repeatedly sincerely apologizes for accidentally telling them, that it just slipped out, but Nami is still not happy. While Zoro and Luffy are excited to be on the warrior list, Nami laments that she is in such mortal danger when she enters the Grand Line. While trying to figure out what to do, Igaram returns. He came dressed vaguely like Vivi and carried three mannequins of what are supposed to be contemporary straw hats. He’ll use Vivi’s Eternal Pose to get right into Arabasta and act as a decoy. He recommends that Vivi jump to Arabasta Island with the Straw Hats using their Log Pose, making it harder for the Baroque Works to track them down. Igaram says that before Crocodile became a privateer approved by the world government, he had a bounty of 80 million Beli, so he is highly dangerous. Luffy eagerly accepts the challenge.

Shortly after Igaram sets sail, his ship explodes in a fireball even bigger than Whiskey Peak itself, burning the baits and sending the Eternal Pose into the water. An angry Luffy runs to the Going Merry to set sail. Nami quickly comforts Vivi, who assumes Igaram is dead. She promises that her gang of Baroque Works will make a breeze and get her home. Luffy finds Sanji and Usopp, grabs them, and drags them to the ship. Vivi wonders where Karoo went, but he has already appeared on the ship. As they prepare to sail, the woman comments on how foolish the bait was. Directing them down the river to reach the sea, Vivi says that Baroque Works has over 2,000 agents in total on their way to Arabasta with multiple bases.

As dawn breaks, the Going Merry takes to the water in a light fog. An unknown voice joins the ship and they see someone sneaking away, the woman from the night before. Compliments of Going Merry. Vivi immediately recognizes the woman as the Vice President of Baroque Works and the partner of Mr. 0 himself: Miss All Sunday. She says that she ran into Mr. 8 (Igaram) a while ago, implying that she was the one who blew up his ship. Luffy just wants to know why he is on their ship and who he is. Luffy then asks if she is bad. Miss All Sunday says that she allowed Vivi to follow her and find out who Mr. 0 was, she was intrigued by the young girl trying to save her kingdom, but called it ridiculous. Zoro and Nami draw their weapons while Usopp and Sanji aim their weapons at her, Usopp with his slingshot and Sanji with his pistol. Usopp comments that it is out of character for Sanji to threaten a woman, but Sanji explains that he sees her as a threat to Vivi. Miss All Sunday nonchalantly tells them not to point dangerous things at her and suddenly they are disarmed. She realizes that she is a devil fruit user in a way. Sanji also predictably falls in love with Miss All Sunday after seeing how beautiful she looks.

Miss says all Sunday she has no orders so no reason to deal with them now. She also reveals that she heard about Luffy when she uses her power to remove his straw hat. He then reveals that Nami’s Log Pose points to the Little Garden, home of one of the Baroque cannon bases. He throws Luffy’s hat and gives Vivi an eternal pose that points to Nanimonai Island, an uninhabited island near Arabasta. He bypasses all of their bases and supposedly allows Vivi to get home safely. Even as Vivi thinks about it, Luffy crushes the Eternal Pose without thinking. He tells Miss All Sunday that he will not allow outsiders to dictate his crew’s course. Luffy also says that he hates her because she exploded Igarama’s ship. She responds by saying that she likes Luffy’s spirit and that they should meet again sometime if they get through the baroque works. He then rides off on a large sea turtle. Vivi breaks down, frustrated by the ambiguous nature of Miss All Sunday. The others explain to Usopp and Sanji what is going on as they continue on their way.

Elsewhere, the missus spends all Sunday wondering how the Straw Hats will fare when they get to the Little Garden. A quick look at the island foreshadows a jungle, a tiger and a huge footprint given the tiger and the jungle.
