Summary:
Just outside the Galley-La Company, a crowd of boatmen guard every entrance to the building, preparing for the aforementioned arrival of the Straw Pirates. Chopper continues to watch the shipmen surround the building and Zoro demands to know what’s going on. Chopper says the boatmen are just standing around, but they are armed. Nami urges everyone to be careful as the boatmen can be deadly if they push and don’t rush in. Luffy agrees to take his time and Zoro tells Chopper to keep his eyes on the building because something could happen. Zoro then says that this is their only chance to know the truth about Robin and it has to be tonight. Luffy then says that they will talk to her soon.
Inside the Galley-La Company, a crowd of boatmen and Paulie, Kaku, Rob Lucci and Hattori, Peepley Lulu and Tilestone are still on guard. In his room, Iceburg asks Kalifa to come out of his room and asks Paulie to come inside. Kalifa steps out and informs Paulie that Iceburg needs him and Kalifa decides to head to her office in case anyone needs her. Kaku thinks it’s a strange time to have a one-on-one interview, and he and Paulie want to know what it’s all about. Tilestone tries to speak out loud, but Paulie, Kaku, Lucci, and Lulu all knock him down before he can. Lulu then tells Paulie to head inside and find out and he and the others move out to keep the conversation private. Tilestone wants to know what Iceburg is talking to Paulie about, but Lulu says they should focus on the pirate problem. Hattori says that they should watch out for the seven-member pirate crew, and also says that they should really watch out for Luffy, Zoro, and Robin. Kaku says not to underestimate the girl traveling with them or the other guy with the long round nose. Hattori says they are there along with the other two. As Hattori says that the pirates need to be defeated if they enter their property, Iceburg and Paulie can talk. Paulie agrees to Iceburg’s plea and swears to him that he will not succeed. Paulie leaves the room telling everyone he has to take care of something and Lulu says that he and the others will watch over Iceburg. Paulie then walks into the room and remembers Iceburg telling him to move his desk to reveal the safe underneath. Paulie then enters the combo to try to open the safe.
Just outside, Robin is seen with a CP9 agent in a bear mask and they get a message from another agent. The agent says that the signal will come in a moment and it will be their time to strike. The bear-masked agent asks Robin if she’s ready, and she says yes. Suddenly, a large explosion goes off, shocking everyone in the area, including the boatmen and the Straw Hats. The bear masked agent and Robin then take a step and jump into the courtyard. The boatmen are running around inside trying to find any intruders. Tilestone asks if Iceburg is okay and Iceburg says he’s a little shocked. Tilestone overhears the other boatmen finding the masked man in the building and he and Lulu escape. Kaku tries to stop them, but decides to sit right outside the door with Lucci. Back outside, some boaters are chasing another masked CP9 agent. Agent CP9 easily takes them off and heads into the room. Other boatmen can be seen being taken down by Robin’s ability, and the bear-masked agent easily knocks some aside. Chopper is still watching them down there and Zoro, Chopper and Nami notice that Luffy is gone. Zoro and Nami are furious that Luffy ran off without a plan.
A mob of boatmen kill Robin and the masked bear agent and threaten to kill them. The bear-masked agent pulls out and disguises himself, and as the boatmen fire, he and Robin suddenly disappear, leaving the boatmen confused. Back on the roof, the other masked CP9 agent continues to fight the boatmen. A masked agent suddenly starts walking/flying through the air (Geppa) and uses his rose attack (Thorny Rose) to take out the crowd of shipbuilders. The agent heads inside the building as two more CP9 agents arrive. Paulie manages to retrieve what was in the safe, but suddenly two CP9 agents appear behind him. The masked agents inform Paulie to deliver the paper and Paulie is horrified to see that they have killed many boatmen. Paulie then knows it’s not an assassination and the agent in the bull mask says they need the item in Paulie’s hands. He then says that since Paulie knows about it, he must be removed as well. Back outside, the boatmen continue to patrol the area, trying to figure out where the agents went. Robin and the bear masked agent come to a wall and the bear masked agent suddenly turns the wall into a door into Iceburg’s room. Iceburg is shocked to see this, and the bear-masked agent says it’s because of the Door Door Fruit. He then shoots Iceburg in the shoulder, causing him to fall to the ground. Robin is surprised by this, but the agent says it’s not a fatal shot, but a warning shot. Iceburg then notes that Luffy had nothing to do with the assassination plan and Robin confirms this. The bear-masked agent then says that Iceburg is alive for two reasons: to tell the story of the assassination on his side, and to try to find an important document – the ship’s blueprints. The bear-masked agent then, knowing that Iceburg’s life is in danger, says that he will hand him over to his most trusted. Iceburg then realizes that it’s a trap and that Paulie is in trouble. The bear-masked agent then tells Robin that he’ll go and deal with the people right outside the door, and that if he can get the plans, he’ll have to kill Iceburg. He then says that once Iceburg is gone, Paulie will be gone too and the Straw Hats will still be blamed. Back outside, Zoro, Chopper, and Nami run towards the building and talk about how Luffy recklessly rushed inside. They eventually run into a crowd of shipwrights and Luffy can be seen stuck between some buildings. Luffy tries to break free and says he has to get to Robin.
