One Piece Episode 407

Summary:

Robin reveals Brook’s past to Luffy and his friends and decides to help him. Brook is captured by Thriller LTD, but Luffy and Zoro arrive to help him escape. The group rebuilds their mikoshi (portable shrine), which is modeled after the Thousand Sunny, and faces Thriller LTD’s Oars-shaped mikoshi in the race. They win with the help of his special powers and Luffy sends Hogback, Perona and Absalom flying to disrupt the festival. Igaram confiscates the bounty to pay for the damage to the city, but allows them to see the treasure, which are panties that can grant wishes if worn by a beautiful woman. Brook suggests that Mao wear them and she punches him, erasing his memory again.

Brook finds and attacks Kumashi and some zombies from the Thriller Society before heading to the Thriller Society headquarters, waking up Zoro as he passes by. At Franky’s workshop, Franky is treated by Chopper while Robin comes up with information about where Brook went. Robin explains that Brook was actually a member of the Thriller Company, but left because he disagreed with their methods and probably feels responsible for the destroyed mikoshi.

Luffy goes to see Brook to find out how the Thriller Company is torturing him when Zoro comes in to complain about the noise. Luffy frees Brook and fends off Thriller Company alongside Zoro until Robin helps them escape with a smoke bomb. Brook arrives at Franky’s workshop to find everyone else connected to the Pinwheel restaurant team rebuilding their mikoshi. The Legendary Flying Fish Riders and the Rolling Express arrive and help the Pinwheel Canteen by supplying them with materials from their damaged mikoshi. Brook is relieved when the others insist that they are still friends and that he will be the shrine bearer. Zoro also becomes part of the team when he is caught stealing food.

On the morning of the race, the Thriller Company arrive with their Oars-shaped mikoshi, expecting to be the only contestants, and are shocked to see the Pinwheel Restaurant team arrive with Thousand Sunny-shaped mikoshi. Onami and Mao borrow a flying fish to help their teammates. Thriller Company’s zombies are too tired to kidnap the mikoshi, so Hogback activates the mikoshi’s motorized hidden wheels. Franky does the same with his mikoshi, first he fills it with coke. Thriller Company attacks the Pinwheel Eaters with a cannon, knocking them into a nearby river, but the mikoshi is able to travel in the water and Omani navigates the team back to the race route.

Perona attacks the Pinwheel Dining Room with brick bats, but Franky frees Mikoshi’s Mini Merry, allowing Zoro and Sanji to travel forward and destroy them. With another bottle of Coke, Pinwheel Eatery’s mikoshi gets back on the race track in front of Thriller Company. They retaliate by releasing Tararan from under the mikoshi to jump ahead of the Pinwheel Eatery team and trap them in a sticky web. Franky can’t run because they’re out of coke, so Onami and Mao grab some from a nearby stand, allowing Franky to use the Gaon Cannon to destroy the mikoshi Thriller Company. The Thriller Company discover that Cindry has left them and is in the audience, and Luffy knocks them into the sky.

Although they won, Igaram refuses to give Onami the prize money as he needs to use it to repair the collateral damage the contestants have caused to the city. Golden panties become a sacred treasure, which when worn will fulfill the wishes of a beautiful woman. Brook asks Mao to carry them and she punches him in response, knocking him to the floor and causing him to lose his memory again.
