One Piece Episode 423

Summary:

Hancock turns Domino (and Warden Den Den Mushi) to stone before he can undergo a body search, allowing Luffy to escape to prison. Hancock begs Luffy not to cause trouble. Luffy promises not to and calls Hancock her real name and not “Hammock”, causing Hancock to fall to the ground and pass out. As Hancock goes to the lower floors, he sees Luffy and prays for his luck. Luffy tries to say thank you with his lips, but Hancock mistakes it for “I love you” and collapses. At Level 1, Luffy encounters Buggy, who is trying to escape from prison. With Luffy’s cover thanks to Buggy, they decide to team up to defeat the enemies.

After entering Impel Down, Surveillance Den Den Mushi frowns at something suspicious. Boa Hancock believes that Domino will render her powerless. Just as Domino is about to put on the Seastone handcuffs, Hancock flirts with the guard and fires a beam of Love and Love at her, turning Domino and Den Den Mushi into statues. As the guards are shocked, Monkey D. Luffy walks out safely. Hancock insists that’s where they part ways. If she took off her cloak, Luffy would have nowhere to hide.

She also fears what horrors Impel Down has in store should her new friend be captured. But Luffy is confident and promises not to let her down the first time he says “Hancock” instead of “Hammock”. Hancock dreams of marrying Luffy and thinks she will die happy. Outside, Hannyabal and Momonga are impatient.

Suddenly, Hannyabal gets a phone call and moves to check on Hancock. At that point, Hancock and Domino leave after completing their examination of the body. He admits the check was short. Luffy sneaks away and waits for Hannyabal to leave. The Deputy Warden warns that the group must pass through the burning floor at the Warden’s. As the elevator doors close, Hancock wishes Luffy luck and suddenly thinks that Luffy loves her.

Luffy learns that Portgas D. Ace is being held in the basement and the Vivre Card is almost burning out.

Outside is a Blugoris cut Sea King that is kept in the fridge for dinner.

As Hannyabal’s party continues their descent, they pass by the suffering of prisoners with minor offenses. Hannyabal explains that level 1 is a crimson floor, a mystery even to him; Level 2 is the floor of wild beasts from hell; Level 3 is the starvation floor and level 4 is the burning heat floor where the prisoners are cooked. He also hopes that the group will enjoy torturing the prisoners.

As Luffy runs down the stairs, the group of prisoners are surprised that Buggy has begun to break down. He plans to leave the prisoners behind and thinks it’s every man for himself. Buggy runs through the corridors and is almost spotted by Surveillance Den Den Mushi. But as he continues to run, she notices him and greets him. Angry, Buggy decides to try to fight his way out. The Blugori guards chase Buggy.

Meanwhile, Luffy is said to be running into a dead end and dodging some guards. Luffy walks through the door. On the Crimson Floor, the Straw Hat Captain hears Buggy crying desperately. The clown pirate tries to escape and stops near the danger button. Unexpectedly, he squeezes it, causing spikes to almost fall on Luffy and spears flying out of the wall.

Just then, the guards are drawn to the shenanigans Luffy has been causing. Luffy is then spotted by the prisoners Buggy left behind. He explains that he came in and was not behind bars. The mention of Ace catches the prisoner’s attention. They show Ace locked up on level 5, the block where high bounty prisoners are kept. As the prisoners plead for Luffy to free them, the Blugoris run towards Buggy and Luffy. The buggy continues to drive even though it is split in two.

The Clown Pirate is shocked to see Luffy again even after their last encounter. The Straw Hat Pirate informs Buggy that he has just broken into a prison. As the two argue, they are nearly hit by Blugori. Angry that the escape plan is messed up, Buggy looks back disdainful of Luffy and Shanks, then he and Luffy decide to fight their way through and defeat a couple of Blugoria’s guards.
