One Piece Episode 784

Summary:

After days without food, Luffy finally manages to catch a giant fish. However, he begins to eat it before Chopper discovers that its skin is extremely poisonous, causing him to collapse. The Sanji Retrieval Team enters Big Mom’s territory, where they encounter the ship Germa 66. On the ship, they see a man who resembles Sanji, but the man turns out to be Sanji’s younger brother Yonji, and coldly refuses the team’s pleas for an antidote to save Luffy. However, Yonji’s sister Reiju berates him for his attitude, kicking him off their ship before jumping on the Thousand Sunny.

After days without food, a famished Luffy finally manages to catch something while fishing and excitedly brings it back. Although he initially succeeds, the giant fish falls back into the water, where it resists Luffy’s attempts to pull it onto the Thousand Sunny. With great effort, the Sanji Retrieval Team is able to retrieve the fish to Sunny, where they are prepared for cooking and consumption. Chopper notices that his color looks strange and decides to look for information about him in Sanji’s locker. Chopper manages to find a fish book buried by several magazines with women in it and discovers that the fish they caught has extremely poisonous skin that causes instant death. He goes outside to tell the team, only to find that Luffy has already started eating the skin. Luffy feels fine and Nami panics at the news, but Chopper tells her that they can still eat the fish if they skin it and prepare it according to Sanji’s instructions.

Nami and Carrot cook the fish according to Sanji’s instructions and prepare hearty portions for everyone on the team. Then they bring it out to serve it and the team finds it delicious. However, Chopper is in a panic as Luffy has collapsed and lost most of his functions due to skin poisoning. Nami insists that Chopper eat so he can continue taking care of Luffy, and Chopper reluctantly does so, but continues to panic and cry as he does not have the supplies needed to treat the poisoning. They notice that Luffy is still alive even though the fish skin normally causes instant death, but they still need to get to the island and find the herbs immediately. However, Pekoms warns them that they couldn’t do it right away, as they are entering Big Mom’s territory. The Sanji Retrieval Team plans to stop for help on any island they come across and is delighted by the cotton candy snow falling on them. Their Den Den Mushi suddenly starts ringing, and Pekoms says it’s a signal from the Territorial Sea Slugs, warning them that they’re definitely in Big Mom’s territory.

Suddenly, a mysterious ship approaches the Sanji Retrieval Team and the Pekoms state that it is probably the Tarte, one of their scout ships. While dealing with Tarte, he lets the team hide, but instead discovers that the ship belongs to Germa 66. The team barely avoids crashing into a much larger ship and is approached by a hooded man with a face resembling Sanji’s, asking what they are doing here. Mistaking him for Sanji, the team is overjoyed and asks him for an antidote to give to Luffy. However, the man reveals that he is not Sanji, but is actually Yonji. Yonji refuses to share the relationship between him and Sanji, but the team knows that he is apparently Sanji’s younger brother. Yonji then sees Nami and falls in love, and the team is surprised by the similarities within Sanji’s family. As Yonji prepares to leave, the team asks him for an antidote to save Luffy, but he coldly refuses. The team tries to get into a confrontation when suddenly Yonji is kicked off the ship by his sister and tells him to stop being so stingy. The woman then jumps on Sunny while the Sanji Retrieval Team gathers around the incapacitated Luffy. When she lands on board, the team confronts her, but she simply apologizes for her brother’s behavior.
