Luffy and Katakuri continue their battle in the mirror world, with Luffy intending to use the battle to strengthen his Haki and defeat Katakuri.
Meanwhile, the Sunny’s crew is surrounded by Big Mom’s pirate fleet and is heading straight for the Daifuku fleet. However, Carrot offers to help the crew by using the full moon to activate Sulong, increasing her combat prowess and allowing her to overpower Daifuku and his crew.
In the Mirror World, Katakuri wonders why Luffy chose to face death by returning to face him again and asks if he is going to submit to the Big Mom Pirates. Luffy tries to punch Katakuri as he states that he has come to defeat Sweet Commander, and Katakuri says that is not possible as he dodges all attacks and prepares to respond with his own attack. Katakuri overpowers Luffy in their clash and recreates mochi arms with Muso Donuts. Remembering Rayleigh’s teaching about how Haki gets stronger when facing stronger opponents, Luffy tries to focus and anticipate Katakuri’s attack. However, he is hit head-on by a mochi arm and slammed into a wall. Katakuri becomes angry with Luffy, whom he repeatedly states that he can never defeat him despite Luffy’s unwavering efforts.
At sea, the Sunny’s crew is confronted by Daifuku’s fleet while being pursued by Big Mom and Bavarois’ fleet, causing them to be surrounded. Bavarois discovers that a fleet led by Smoothie, accompanied by Citron and Cinnamon, has also come to support the Big Mom Pirates. The crew of the Sunny discover that Daifuku is the one who has arrived and contact Perospero to request permission to shoot the Sunny down. Perospero grants it because he knows that Big Mom will go to Cocoa Island and eat Pudding Cake. Then she notices that Big Mom is losing weight. Daifuku gets his fleet into position and orders his subordinates to fire the inanimate cannonballs as Big Mom has made the cannonballs unstable. He then waits for the Sunny to get to the range and the Sunny’s crew decides to continue moving forward, preparing to fight. Carrot looks at the moon and remembers Pedro telling her that someday everyone’s time will come. She then tells the crew to leave the fleet to her, saying that she will use the power of the full moon. Jinbe asks her if she can control Sulong, and she confirms it, saying that Pedro taught her.
Carrot then looks at the full moon and activates Sulong, causing her hair and fur to grow longer and her eyes to turn red as she takes on a fierce yet regal image. The Daifuku crew notices Carrot and are shocked to recognize Sulong, and the Straw Hats are equally taken aback. Carrot then jumps down to the ocean, but to the Straw Hats’ surprise, she is able to fly over the water towards Daifuku’s fleet. When she landed on Daifuku’s ship, she overpowered its crew with her speed and used powerful electrical discharges to knock out several of them at once. Daifuku claims that she won’t stop his fleet from taking down the Sunny, but Carrot rips off his ship’s rudder in the blink of an eye, leaving Daifuku horrified as his ship loses control. Carrot then jumps to one of the Tartes as Daifuku summons her genie to attack her. However, Carrot dodges the genie’s punch, which cuts several Tartes in half as collateral damage. Daifuku’s subordinates call out in distress as his genie continues to attack Carrot, missing each time and causing further damage to the fleet.
The Straw Hats watch Carrot’s performance in awe, and Nami realizes that this is the mink trump that Inuarashi mentioned to Zou. Jinbe reveals that looking at the full moon causes minks to lose control of their senses and become wilder and more dangerous. However, this lack of control makes Sulong a very dangerous ability, as Norse can tire themselves to death within hours if they are unable to disable it. Brook then prepares to go and provide backup for Carrot and runs across the water towards Daifuku’s fleet. The Bavarois fleet then comes within range of the Sunny and begins firing on her, forcing the remaining crew to defend against her.
