Summary:
All of Moria’s victims restore their shadows and celebrate regaining the ability to enter the light of day. Luffy, Zoro, Sanji and Robin restore their shadows just in time to avoid disintegration. Luffy is unconscious due to his injuries and using Gear Second and Gear Third against Moria, and Usopp is worried that he will endanger himself by having to use the technique on the stronger enemies in front of him. Kuma receives orders from the world government to kill everyone on Thriller Bark to cover up Moriia’s defeat. He attacks the survivors with a strange move that sends several people flying backwards before turning his attention to Zoro.
Usopp, Nami, Chopper, and Franky cry in horror as Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji evaporate in the sunlight. Lola is also starting to fall apart. On another ship in the Great Line, the captain insists on getting more sleep, but one of his crew points out that his shadow has returned to him. The captain rushes out of bed and is thrilled to see his own shadow and his crew return to him. The crew wonders if anyone has defeated Moria. On the naval ship, the marine is glad to have his shadow back. More pirates and civilians express their joy at having their shadows return to them. At one house, Margarita drops several plates and is shocked to see her reflection return along with her shadow. Her boss Egana is surprised that her shadow is back. The maid talks about how she used to hate plates but got over it. Her boss stopped her from leaving because he was pleased with how intact Margarita was, and she cried tears of joy. All seems lost for the Straw Hats until Zoro sees how he managed to survive, Robin thinks she will be on her way to heaven and Sanji wishes to be with her. Nami and Chopper cry with joy and Brook says he almost had a heart attack but he doesn’t really have a heart. After that, they will see the sun for the first time in days.
Lola and her crew rejoice at the return of their shadows. Luffy also survived, but is unconscious from his intense fight with Moria. Robin says that when the shadows returned, their bodies were restored in time. Sanji knows that all the creatures made by Moria and his henchmen were just made up. Meanwhile, Hogback awakens Absalom, who is horrified to see Lola’s warthog zombie zombie, and tries again to reject her marriage proposal, but the doctor informs him that the zombie pig is now lifeless and the bad news is that Moria has been beaten. With the damage done to Thriller Bark, Hogback doesn’t want to spend the rest of his days there. Chopper knows that Gear Third could tear Luffy apart. An old man with a lantern arrives and reveals that he is just an older injured man and thanks the crew for finally defeating Moria. Lola recognizes him as Spoil, the president of the Thriller Bark Victims Association and also congratulates the straw pirates on their victory and also desires a husband but is rejected.
Zoro wanted to point out how the way to victory was by the Straw Hats’ own will and is slapped by Nami for it. Lola’s crew offers to show Moria’s treasure room and allow the Straw Hats to retrieve it as a reward. However, Nami also warns that Kuma is still on the island. Kuma appears to be communicating with his superior on his Den Den Mushi, telling them of Moria’s defeat. The person on the other end orders Moria to be taken back to Marine HQ and no one is to learn of his defeat. Kuma is then ordered to eliminate every last person on Thriller Bark including the Straw Hats. The Straw Hats feel exhausted from fighting Moria, but Zoro prepares to fight. Nami warns him about the powers that Kuma likes, how he seemingly made Perona disappear and can warp in a split second. Kuma takes off his gloves and warps the victims of Thriller Bark and the Straw Hats. As Lola’s crew charges at him, Kuma fires some of them into a paw shape and causes a massive shock wave against some he didn’t touch. He then warps to Zoro and prepares to fight him.
